Photographers:
Everywhere we go there is architecture, but as a new generation of architects are occurring, new fresh ideas are coming along. This attracts photographers like myself who like to do basics but in a way that anyone wouldn't think of looking at the object. Architecture is everywhere we go, some are new vintage some are new modern sleek. In my work I'll be finding these vintage, historical and modern buildings and taking you along with me.
Here are some of my 2 favourite photographers who focused on architecture:
Candida Hofer- first set of pictures.
Berenice Abbott- second set of pictures.

Research on Candida Hofer.
Candida Hofer is a german based photographer who traveled pretty much around the globe. Here are my favourite pictures that she has taken from her journeys:
I like this image that Hofer took because, she captured it in a different way then when she normally does, not going straight but taking it from the side. this way it gives us more of a feel and to actually take in the image. the columns might suggest a wedding aisle feel as if the students are getting married to the books/ their majors. That maybe why she wanted to capture the library like this.
This picture of a church in Mexico that Hofer captured is actually one of my favourites. Keeping it up of taking pictures straight forward but breaking from her normal aesthetic, not taking a picture of a beautiful building but instead taking one of a half white- almost minimalistic- half primary and secondary colours. The way she made sure the lights also line up to the where the line of the half of the interior divides is visible shows how carefully and precise that must have took, almost as if they are halfing the picture into different views and lives .
My ideas for my first final piece:
My artists that i am researching and using as models are: Candida Hofer, Berenice Abbot and Harry Callahan. The reason why I chose these photographers is because their different but also very similar. Harry Callahan's work is very retro and most of his pictures are black and white. Candida Hofers work which is more based on interior then the actual building makes her photos look very clean and crisp, her work is very 'clean' to others. Bernice abbot is like Callahan, but she is more up close architecture, seen from the photos above.
The materials i intend to use is, fabric, coloured card, newspaper and magazines.
These relate to my theme because most of them are architecture or interior which my selected artists / photographers have chosen to base most of their photographs on.
I would like to present these as framed photographs to emphasises the "exhibition" work that most photographers do to show what they have taken to the world.

How did it turn out?
Instead of me doing my initial ideas, I done a lot of research on animation. Inspired by Hans Richter's Rhythmus 23 in 1923 and Viking Eggeling's Symphonie Diagonale in 1924. Here are my animations from my first draft to my final first piece:
